Modern loft in Brussels by SHSH architects
SHSH architects have transformed an old storage warehouse into a contemporary loft. Inspired by the sea, they designed the loft with an ocean-like feel, utilizing architectural details, including a swing. Three island-like volumes were created, each with a different texture and placed against the walls to create a large, open space. The interior is a warm, sultry, and colorful space that can be used for both formal and informal gatherings.
In a previous warehouse in Brussels, the architectural practice SHSH Architecture + Scenography remodeled it by using inspiration from the ocean. The result is a modern, minimalist loft punctuated by islands of life. MJA Studio, meanwhile, announced a project to convert the Subico Oval stadium in Perth, Australia, into a giant wave pool. The project will reimagine the building’s former function as a carton storage warehouse.
