Joint ventures with other companies

In a deal that could spur other companies to make similar deals, BMW AG has agreed to buy a majority stake in a Chinese joint venture. The deal involves Brilliance China Automotive Holding Ltd., which manufactures and sells cars in China. BMW will increase its stake in the company from 50 percent to 75%. In return, Brilliance will retain a 25 percent stake in the joint venture.

Location of factories

The BMW X3 and X5 are the first electrified BMWs. However, the Spartanburg plant has yet to become fully adapted to building pure EVs.
