Read on to learn more about the science behind love.

Humans have a deep fascination with love

The concept of love and its expression varies widely among different cultures and individuals, and there is no one universal answer to the question, “Why do humans fall in love?” While human desires, needs, and responses differ across the world, romantic love is a universal fascination. While the term is generally associated with modern Western culture, this notion is not new, and many cross-cultural studies have shown that romantic love is present in nearly every population.

It is rooted in biology

As a social behavior, love has an evolutionary and biological basis. During social interactions, our bodies and minds trigger a variety of physiological and cognitive processes, which in turn influence our mental and emotional states. To maintain loving relationships, our bodies need constant feedback from our sensory and cognitive systems. In other words, our bodies seek love and respond to the absence of it constantly. The same happens with human relationships. This article will explore the biological basis of love.

It is a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection

What is love? Love is a strong feeling of personal attachment or deep affection that is motivated by feelings of love and arousal. In most cases, love is a result of a romantic relationship. It can also be a feeling of adoration that one has for an inanimate object or person. In most cases, love can be described as a powerful and positive emotion. However, love is not the same as lust. Lust is a state of uncontrollable desire, which can lead to reckless behavior and the abandonment of values.

It grows over time

The definition of love may be different for everyone, but three couples from El Paso all agree that the most rewarding love is one that grows over time. Mauricio Armendariz met his girlfriend, Mary Kathryn Guinn, when he was working as a purse salesman at Michael Kors. The couple started dating in 2015 after Mauricio graduated from UTEP and moved to Houston. They were inseparable, and now, almost two years later, they still haven’t forgotten each other.

It is a reciprocal experience

Reciprocation is an integral part of our relationship with others. Love is reciprocal when we give and get back the same thing from the other person. It is similar to a mutual agreement in which we do the same thing for each other. A sister and brother might resolve a fight through a mutual understanding. Similarly, reciprocal friendships are mutual, requiring two people to like and respect one another. This relationship type is known as reciprocal love.
